...aka “Jackson” is a 2014 Black Stallion who carries all 3 stars at Ryann Pedone Barrel Horses!  That means he is privileged to have been bred, raised, and trained there!

And, he is still owned by Ryann and husband, Lee, so maybe he should get another star?  

Jackson has barrel racing LTE of $1,166.  Currently, he is taking a break from chasing cans so he can learn to catch steers. Jackson is currently in roping training.   

Confederate Leader – A Half-Million Dollar Sire

His sire, Confederate Leader (LTE $30,552) was the 1998 BFA Derby Champion (a win worth $17,996). In 2001, he was the NAS Horse Cup Series #1 Sweepstakes champion (worth $1500). He was also a College Finals Rodeo champion and won multiple rodeos!). 
 
Confederate Leader (1993) is by Special Leader (Special Effort x Miss Eye Opener) out of Southern Streaker, one of the nicest daughters of Some Kinda Man (a 1969 son of Go Man Go).

Jackson comes from an impressive mare line, beginning with his dam. Cause For A Kiss (2006 sorrel) is by Cause Its Money (an own son of On the Money Red) and out of the great mare, Kiss Kiss This.

Cause For A Kiss (LTE $21,514) was a futurity money earner, including placing at the LG Slot race and running the second fastest qualifying time at the 2010 BFA futurity! She also won the 2011 OFD consolation race.

Kiss Kiss This, a 1999 mare, is by Chain of Events and out of a Triple Chick granddaughter! She is a Blue Hen Broodmare having produced 6 winners with 5 different sires: in addition to Cause for a Kiss, she is also the dam of Kiss this Guy ($121,426), Kiss Me Bill Compton ($57,885), Rock Solid Kiss ($16,471), RLP Pucker Up ($16,050) and Kiss this Guy Two ($1,292).

The Blue Hen is named for the horse breeding term "Blue Hen," meaning a mare who has proved herself exceptional in producing high quality foals, almost regardless of which stallion might be the sire. These sons and daughters would also have an impact on the breed.
