Potter Ranch Bids Farewell to Dinero

PC Frenchmans Hayday (Dinero) Passes at 24

The Potter Ranch posted on Monday (March 23, 2020), "With great sadness we regret to inform the passing of our beloved Dinero."

Born July 2, 1995 the golden palomino stallion was a celebrity in the rodeo world.  Produced with the magic cross of Sunfrost x Caseys Charm, Dinero excelled in both Team Roping

Many recall the 2005 Nampa, ID rodeo, where he was ridden by Walt Woodard, (heeling), Cory Petska (heeling), and Sherry Cervi (barrels) in the short round, and all three were money winners (combined, they earned $11,000 that night).

Dinero was a proven producer and his legacy will live on for years to come.

To date his get have combined LTE of over $4 million, including
  • 7 NFR Qualifiers
  • Over $600,000 in PRCA Rodeo earnings
  • 2 Rodeo Houston Champions, winning $50,000 Bonus EACH in Team Roping and Barrel Racing
  • NFR Arena Record, MP Meter My Hay, 13.49
  • Carried Cory Petska to 4th for year in Team Roping and Todd Suhn 6th in Steer Wrestling
  • Made Sherry Cervi 2010 WPRA World Champion Barrel Racer
  • MP Quick Money and Tammy Fischer WPRA 2011World Standings top 20
The post announcing Dinero's passing included a beautiful poem, written by Ryan Alexander:

Dear Dinero,

Today we cried as you passed away

Left with so many things, we meant to say

“Thank you” was the phrase we tried to find

As Potter Ranch became the legacy, you left behind

The sire of champions, who broke the mold

Even your coat was made of gold

Many of your colts have become a sensation

Making you the barrel racing stud of this generation

Four world championships in a ten year span

And to think people made fun of your tail as you ran

When you get to the other side, you can strut through all the gates

Go take your place in the pasture, with all the other greats

You deserve it; you don’t have to question what you’ve done

We’ll keep adding to your legacy with another daughter or a son

Now is the time for the hardest part to say

Goodbye Dinero; Goodbye PC Frenchman’s Hayday

We love you
-Potter Ranch
